PROLOGUE
As had been the case in the not too distant past, AH once
again started the year with a lack in quantity of brothers.
With only thirty-seven brothers returning, IIKA was at a dis-
advantage in competition with the other big fraternities on
campus. The quality was there though as the brothers reaf-
firmed their faith in the bonds and together succeeded in pledging
the largest pledge class on campus. Things moved swiftly
and for the most part smoothly through the first semester,
climaxed by AH moving into the largest and most expensive
fraternity house in the southeast. Although the new house
hindered us somewhat financially, it has helped us to get
back on the path to the top. We are looking forward to starting
off the 1958-1959 year with sixty brothers, realizing the efforts
of the past year's chapter to put IIKA on top at the University
of Florida.
