Keith Hustad served in the U.S. Army Air Forces as a Second Lieutenant with the 6th Ferrying Group, 1st Ferrying Squadron at Long Beach Army Airfield, California during World War II. A P-51B Mustang Pilot, he died on November 4, 1943 when his plane caught fire and crash landed in Anderson Township, eight miles east of Luken Field, Cincinnati, Ohio.
