FALL FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
The upcoming 1989 home football season promises to be among the biggest and best ever for Alpha Eta.
In 1988, we had more of our alumni come back to the house than in any other year. Over 250 of you had the
opportunity to see the renovations to the house and relive old friendships. If you were not one of those alumni
who made it back last year, you have a new and even better opportunity to come back to Pi Kappa Alpha this
fall.
This year the house will look even better thanks to the many of you who have contributed to the
Campaign For Alpha Eta. Over the summer the exterior brick was acid washed and coated with a waterproof-
ing sealant to add a sheen to the entire exterior. The exterior was also completely re-painted and new rain
gutters and downpour added. The living room/party room was re-finished with wood boarders waste high with
a coat of wainscot. In addition, new solid oak doors were placed on the library/conference room. The
abundance of oak in the room adds a touch of class to the house. The shower ceiling was replaced along with
new lighting along all the bathrooms. A new $5,000 computer system was purchased (an IBM pc/2 model 50z
with color monitor and a laserjet printer). The computer system was temporarily placed in one of the third deck
singles until the new computer room in one of the third deck singles until the new computer room facility is
completed next summer. Finally, we purchased a new VCR SO we can have movie nights with our little sisters.
We expect the upcoming football season to be even better. With all the new improvements to the house,
we are confident that you will feel proud of your fraternity. We are especially looking forward to Homecoming
weekend on October 20 and 21.
