History of Alpha Eta Chapter, 1926-1927
1927
Beginning the year 1926 - 27 Alpha Eta returned about
twenty-eight men, who together with twenty-six of the best
freshmen who matriculated at the university brought the
chapter to a goodly size of fifty-five. This seems a large
chapter, but, from a consideration of the high type of men
who form the personel, it is well balanced and rounded.
To begin with the activities in which Alpha-Zeta is

the call was sounded for men, P1 Kappa Alpha sent over her four
varsity letter men of last season together with one transfer
who was later declared ineligible because of the rule governing
matriculation. On the freshman football squad there were five

Gators". Basket-ball found one P1 K. A. on the varsity squad
and one pledge playing on the freshman team. The freshman
tennis team is captained by a Pi K. A. while still another is
one of the ranking players. So much for athletics up to the
present time except to add that P1 Kappa Alpha is well up in
the race in Intra-Mural sports and expects to retain possession
of the beautiful loving cup which it won last year together
with the intra-mural championship; also, that Brother Pedrick
is Varsity otball manager for 1927.
As a result of campus elections last year Alpha-Zeta has
its quota of student officers. Brother Boggs, editor-in-chief
of the "Seminole", expects to have his year book ready by the
end of school. Although very active in campus interests,
