Richard Hollis to Brother Letter, June 24, 1947
Gamma Theta Chapter
of the
PI KAPPA ALPHA FRATERNITY
June 24, 1947
Dear Brother;
Because a good many of the alumni are not receiving the
Shield and Diamond, a special effort is being made by the chapter
to insure they receive it. The following paragraph will explain
our reasons for sending each alumnus a card.
Article 7 of the Constitution states: "Every reasonable
effort shall be made by the Business Manager of The Shield and
Diamond to cause mail delivery of each issue, but the respon-
sibility of supplying a correct mail address to the Business
Manager rests with each brother entitled to receive the magazine.
Notice from a post office that a copy is indeliverable because of
incorrect address shall be sufficient cause to remove the name
from the mailing list, provided however, that the brother has not
notified the Business Manager of such change. Upon receipt of
a correct mail address the name shall be immediately reinstated
on the mailing list, but the Business Manager is under no ob-
ligation to supply or forward any copies not received by the
subscriber during the interim. 11
In order to comply with this article of the constitution
and to eliminate as much work on your part as possible, a form
card has been compiled and one has been inclosed in this letter.
This card must be filled out and sent to the national office,
if you are not receiving The Shield and Diamond, and desire to.
-If you are receiving The Shield and Diamond disregard this card.
If your address on this letter is not correct please send
your correct address to Brother Jack Roach, Box 1356, State
College, Miss , in order that our alumni files will be correct.
Yours in p.p.k.a.,
Richard Situllis
