Gamma Chapter was founded at the College of William and Mary on February 27, 1871. The chapter closed in 1878, was reopened from 1894 but remained open for only a year, closing again in 1895. The chapter reopened for a second time in 1897 and remained active until 2019. A provisional chapter was established in November 2024.
