The Alpha Eta Gator, October 1960
The ALPHA ETA GATOR
PI KAPPA ALPHA - UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA
OCTOBER, 1960
FORTY-TWO NEW PIKE PLEDGES
-Til Glisson
As a result of almost two weeks of hard and
tedious work and planning, Alpha Eta can lay
claim to one of the best pledge classes it has ever
seen. Formal rush was a success, but only after
much hard work on the part of all brothers.
Formal rush was a success this year, partially
because of the revision of the Rush Rules by the
Interfraternity Council by making the rush dates
shorter and more numerous, and partially because
of the live enthusiasm shown by the chapter as a
whole. The entire Alpha Eta rush program was
organized by Brother Til Glisson, Rush Chairman,
and Jimmy Kimbrough, Assistant Chairman. Quali-
ties of the different rushees were brought out by
the various and sundry rush parties, such as formal
and informal dinner parties, refreshing bowling

and swimming parties, band parties in the base-
ment, and finally the well-known champagne party
on the last date. We were able to see how' the
