History of Alpha Eta Chapter for Year 1952 to 1953

HISTORY OF
Alpha Eta
CHAPTER FOR YEAR
19 52 TO
1953
PREFACE
As I look back on four years of college and three years with
Pi Kappa Alpha, a mixture of memories and emotions surge through
my mind. I remember sunlit brassy afternoons, with dates, beer,
music and hot dogs; days at Lake Wauburg; the талу parties at the
house; looking at thirteenth street from the porch; the dim, music
filled card room liberally sprinkled with couples, the many days
of pledging, the first glorious days of brotherhood, the hard work
given to the fraternity and the myriad days and nights involving
brothers and their dates, pledges and their dates, the party boys,
the scholars, the in betweens, the days of triumph, the days and
nights of unspeakable gloom, the sacrifices, the gains and especial-
ly the brotherhood, the feeling of unity.
Pi Kappa Alpha has educated me, developed me, and taught me
to frow and to live with men. It is fitting that I should dedicate
this history to the brothers of Alpha Eta and especially to Bill
Stokes, Iverson Barbree, Don and Pete Goodling, Bob Conley, Gene
Sherron, Paul Waters, Jim Moore and Randolph Bentley who made my
fraternity live to me. It's been a long time.
