1929 Alpha-Eta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha 1928 - 1929 School opened with twenty-five mon returning to the ranks of Alpha-Eta. The chapter pledged nineteen freshmen at the opening of schoòl and three later in the year. This was a most successful pleage year for Alpha-Eta. The football season opened with three of the brothers on the team; Brumbaugh, Nolan and James. Brumbaugh was one of the outstanding backs of the year. The chapter had three freshmen out for the "rat" team and one out for the manager of the varsity. "Home Coming" brought back many Alumni and the event left and impression to be long remembered. The chapter had one freshman and an old man on the respective baseball teams. Due to the absence of many out- standing athletes in the chapter this year we were unable to furnish as many men as usual for varsżty and freshmen sports. The chapter was well represented by the brothers in the activ tites about the campus. We have brothers in practic 11y every student activity. One of our outstanding victories of the year was the comple 18 victory of the political party to which we belong. Dixie Beggs was elected Sec. & Treas. of the Student body and James to the Executive Council. Again as in previous years the Chapter led in the social activities on the campus. The Pikes are known throughout the state as the most hospitable boys on the campus. The April House Party was the best on the Campus and one of lthe best we have ever put on
